that post about how its impossible to satirize masculinity without thousands of men earnestly idenitifying with it isn’t wrong but ive also seen enough women cheer on the most rancid shit as long as its got a veneer of femininity to it so idk i think it might just be a human thing

equality win: men and women both bad at media comprehension !!

for every Taxi Driver there’s a Midsommar

i was in the passenger seat and my girlfriend put her arm out when she made an abrupt stop and her friend in the backseat was like “aww that was so cute that you just instinctively did that!!” and it WAS very cute but i know she used to deliver pizzas. i know i was precious pizza cargo

I heard it’s international nonbinary day, so I edited an old draft for a short fic where Ford slowly realizes he’s nonbinary

A digital painting of Stanford Pines towering above you, looking down at you with a look of disdain, one eyebrow raised, with his hands on his hips, wearing a red-turtleneck and some thigh-hugging dark gray pants. In the background are four roughly-painted redwood trees against a blue sky.ALT

why hello up there, sir

A lineless digital painting depicting the gremloblin towering above Fiddleford McGucket in a forest clearing. Sunlight is streaming through the trees. Fiddleford's arm looks injured, and he is cowering from the gremloblin's yellow gaze. Text reads in yellow: "Should I stay or should I go now?"ALT
A close up shot of Ford, possessed by Bill, sitting in a meditation sale circle surrounded by candles. In the background, in a yellow-lit doorway, stands Fiddleford, peering in from the hallway with a nervous expression on his face. Yellow light streams in from the hallway. In the background is a painting of various mushrooms, a framed set of pinned butterflies, and an analog clock reading 3:33. Text reads in yellow: "Should I stay" and in bright aqua, "or should I go now?"ALT
A scene depicting a close-up shot of Ford's hand in the forefront writing on a desk in his 2nd basement study, while Fiddleford looks at him from the background. Ford's fingers appear to be bruised and injured, with a small series of dotted scabs on the back of his hand, as though he was injured by a fork. He is writing on some papers, one of which is covered in complex equations above Bill's handwriting reading "Sleep tight, Sixer." Fiddleford's gze is focused on Ford's hand with a worried expression. The entire scene is lit with the yellow light of a candle near the forefront. The background includes a bookshelf full of books, various knick-knacks and jars of eyeballs and teeth, and a tapestry of Bill, whose eye appears to be looking at Fiddleford. Text reads in yellow: "If I go there will be" and in aqua, "trouble."ALT
The portal looms in the background, only partially on, deactivated but with the symbols on the front of it lit up in aqua light. The light shines on Fiddleford, who stands in the foreground, lit in aqua rim lighting, with his back in shadow. He is faced away from the viewer, looking up at at the portal. Text reads in aqua with a yellow overlay: "And if I stay it will be double."ALT
Ford (on the left) and Fiddleford (on the right) sit across from each other in a diner dinner booth. Fiddleford, with a worried expression, pushes a thesis paper across the table to Ford, who has an angry expression and his arms crossed. On the table are empty dinner plates on Ford's side and an untouched dinner plate on Fiddleford's side. A window is on the wall in the center of the frame, above the table, and through it, a tree covers the moon in a manner indicative of Bill's eye. Text reads in aqua: "So come on and let me know." The O in "know" has the Society of the Blind Eye symbol scrawled over it.ALT
A circular bright aqua light emanates from the center of the frame, washing out almost anything off. On the edges of the light, all slightly obscured, are post-it notes and memos saying things like "Your Phone # is -" and "Call Tate after-" and "Stay Away From- [stanford's name is crossed out}" and "Your wife's name is emma may". In a color extremely similar to the background is text that is very hard to make out, fading into the background, that reads "Should I Stay Or Should I Go". The O in Go is crossed out with the blind eye signal.ALT

Should I Stay Or Should I Go

My first finished lyric comic! (Well. Maybe. I might continue it).

I was torn on the last frame, since I know the lyrics are hard to read, but The Clash actually don’t include that lyric at that point in the song, it’s only implied. I felt it fit. So the line isn’t visible there, it’s just fading in and out (you know, like Fiddleford’s memories. symbolism or whatever.) I considered making a new frame, but I think this gets the point I want across, and also I am tired of working on this thing.
